Over the summer of 2024 I had the opportunity to join the TRCA as a Media Intern with the Watershed Planning & Ecosystem Science team. Over six weeks I shadowed and documented the efforts of TRCA field researchers and scientists as they worked to understand and conserve the Greater Toronto Area’s natural ecosystems and wildlife. Seeing a new side to the region I’ve called home under the summer sun is an experience I’ll cherish forever.
